Kids & accessibility

Children aboard, life jackets, and mobility.

Can we bring children?

Yes, and plenty of our charters are family days. We carry kid-sized life jackets; tell us ages in the booking notes so the right sizes are aboard before you arrive.

Children must wear a life jacket at all times and remain your responsibility aboard.

Is there a minimum age?

No hard minimum on the cruising charters, but the boat matters more than the number. A steady boat with shade on a sheltered route suits small children; a RIB on an offshore run does not.

If you have children under seven and your own PFD that fits, bring it: a jacket that already fits is better than one that nearly does. We carry spares either way.

The fishing, spear and overnight charters are not suitable for young children.

Can you take a wheelchair user or someone with limited mobility?

Talk to us before you book and we will give you a straight answer for your specific situation.

Boarding is from a floating pontoon or a harbour wall depending on the tide and the base, and none of our boats has a lift. What we can do is pick the vessel with the easiest step aboard, schedule around the tide, and have crew on hand to help.

We would rather tell you honestly what is possible than have you arrive and find it is not.

What if someone in the group cannot swim?

That is fine on any of the cruising charters. Life jackets are provided, the crew brief everyone before departure, and nobody is going in the water unless the charter is specifically about that.

Snorkel with tuna is the exception: that one genuinely needs confident open-water swimmers.
